I have adopted FurAffinity's content rating system for my site, although I have implemented my own color code. It is as follows:

General [G]: Suitable for all ages. This covers photos, most Second Life snapshots, pixel art, 3D models, and some literary work.

 

Mature [M]: Gore, violence or tasteful/artistic nudity or mature themes. This covers most literary work.

 

Adult [A]: Explicit imagery otherwise geared toward adult audiences. Very rarely used on any kind of submission.
